MANAGEMENT TEAM Team manager Les Bristow is in his fourth season at the helm of Ludlow Town and has previous managerial experience in the Midland Football Alliance his home town club Bridgnorth Town. Les spent the majority of his playing career with Bridgnorth Town and served the club for over 17 years as a player, secretary and later manager. A a youngster he was also on the books of Wellington Town, now known as Telford United. Chris Busby FORWARD - Recent signing from Alliance rivals Causeway United. Previously played for Halesowen Harriers. Sean Jones DEFENDER - Youngster who played for Town's youth team last season. Broke into the first team before the end of the season and looks a great prospect for the future. Previously played for Albrighton Juniors, Shifnal Town and Wolves. Darren Leonard FORWARD / DEFENDER - Utility player who has played at centre half, striker and full back during his time at Town. Signed mid-way through last season from then Alliance rivals Shifnal Town. Has also played for Star in the West Midlands Regional League. Known to the players as `Lion Heart'. Andy Jones FORWARD - Another close-season capture form the defunct Halesowen Harriers. Started his career at Crewe before joining Kidderminster Harriers, Redditch United and Moor Green. Andy has also played for Halesowen Town in the Dr Martens Premier Division and after coming back from injury scored 15 goals last season. Shaun Humphreys FORWARD - Youngster who joined Town pre-season after being released from Stoke City. Made numerous appearances for Stoke's Reserve side last season. Made his return to the first team squad against Racing Club Warwick after missing the start of the season through injury. Jamie Turpin MIDFIELD - Local lad from Cleobury, who progressed through the youth ranks at Wolverhampton Wanderers and captained the Under 19's at the Molineux. Injury kept him out of the game before he made his return with Ludlow Town. Jamie has also played for Bromsgrove Rovers. Will Hughes MIDFIELD - Signed for Town after impressing during a representative game for the combined services. Started his career with Cardiff City and made six substitute appearances for the Blue Birds before joining Newport County. David Andrewartha MIDFIELD / FULL BACK - After spending most of last season on the treatment table, David is finally back to full fitness. David can play on the right side of midfield or in the centre. Joined Ludlow from Aston Villa and has also had spells at Telford United and Shrewsbury Town. Darryl Smith MIDFIELD / FORWARD - Another player in his second spell at the club. Started his career with Wolverhampton Wanderers before injury cut short his promising career. Previously played in the Midland Alliance for Wednesfield and Bridgnorth Town. Tim Jackson LEFT WING - Joined Town in the pre-season from Halesowen Harriers. Tricky winger who opened his Town goal account during the 2-0 win against Rolls Royce in the FA Vase. Started his career at Stoke City before having spells with Kidderminster Harriers, Redditch United and Stourbridge. Andy Blakeley MIDFIELD - Andy has missed most of the pre-season with a ankle injury. Started his career at Walsall before having spells at Worcester City and Bridgnorth Town. This is his second spell at Ludlow Town. Robert Vass FULL BACK / MIDFIELD - Ludlow lad who has progressed through the youth ranks at the club. Played most of last season in the middle of the park but is also comfortable at full back. Likes to get forward and score goals and has a long throw in. Adrian (Gooner) Marsh DEFENDER - Following some good performances in the reserves local Ludlow lad Adrian has been promoted to the first team squad and has added some height and presence to the back line. Danny Adams DEFENDER / MIDFIELD - Joined Ludlow Town from Stourbridge at the beginning of the season. Danny can play either in midfield or in the back four and last season played for Halesowen Harriers and Bridgnorth Town. Matthew Forrest CENTRE BACK - Tall and commanding defender who has joined Town during the pre-season from Halesowen Harriers. Oliver Williams LEFT BACK - Son of former Shrewsbury Town and Bristol City defender Brian Williams. Joined Town during the pre-season after being released by Aston Villa. Can also play at centre half. Robert Bruce FULL BACK - Robert joined Town during the pre-season from Hednesford Town where he made a handful of first team appearances last season. Very quick and likes to run at players with the ball. Can play at wing back or in midfield. Previously on the books at West Bromwich Albion. Steve Moore DEFENDER - CLUB CAPTAIN - Vastly experienced club captain who signed at the beginning of the 2002/03 season from Alliance rivals Oldbury United. Started his career with Kidderminster Harriers before joining Redditch United. Steve has also had two spells at Halesowen Harriers and been on the books of Port Vale. Martin Poole GOALKEEPER - Martin is in this second spell with Town after signing from League of Wales side Oswestry Town in 2002. He previously played for Star in the West Midlands Regional League and started his career at Telford United. He works for Shrewsbury Town's as a Football in the Community officer.
